The Somatics of Queering Systems Change

Join Deanna Sophia Danger and Ishmaiah Moore to explore your sector of systems change work through a somatic, ‘queered’, decolonial practice lens as an embodied alternative to conceptualizing change.

Participants are invited to navigate and ground their analysis, leverage and choice-making somatically - that is, in context of body-up, lived experience, relationship, timeline and place. Learn and practice shifting your systemic understanding of a ‘margins-to-center’ approach from polarized,  disembodied surface-level inclusion to an orientation that prioritizes embodied, dynamic relational impact.

As part of the 2-hour session participants will be guided through somatic learning and practice, free writing exercises, breakout rooms, partner practice and group sensemaking.

This short course is offered in collaboration between MyQueerRhiza and School of System Change as part of the Seedling Series: short courses supporting changemakers to embrace complexity through discovering the diversity of systemic approaches and practitioners.
