Elle Wiles
Head of Partnerships and Practice at the School of System Change
Background
Elle has spent her career walking alongside people creating change – in communities, organisations and living systems. Before joining the School in 2026, she was core to the team that developed The Bio-Leadership Project and Director of its Fellowship programme; growing a community of 350 fellows across 50 countries learning to lead with and like nature.
Her roots are in community development, regeneration and human rights – a grounding in lived realities that shapes how she works with systems. She holds an MSc in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability, is a trustee of the Women's Fund for Nature, and is passionate about food – growing it, preparing it and eating together.
At the School of System Change
At the School, Elle is a member of the enabling team, as the Head of Partnerships and Practice. She works closely with organisations to create deep, lasting change – helping them learn from each other and strengthen how they work.
"What excites me about the growing field of systems change practice is the work around worldviews, narrative, and access – bringing everyone in. I take a lot of inspiration from great authors like Ursula K. Le Guin, sci-fi can teach us so much about the world we live in and its dominant worldviews. This quote from her I keep close: “Love doesn't just sit there, like a stone, it has to be made, like bread; remade all the time, made new.” I think we can learn how to be in relationship with the world; we have a choice of how we want to love, act and care for the world. Ultimately, that is what lies at the core of my work."
